Independence Street Neighborhood Meeting
Join your neighbors for a meeting on Saturday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. and find out!
Maureen Phair, Deputy Director of the Arvada Urban Renewal Authority (AURA), will present the proposed outline development plan for what’s known as the Triangle – the commercial areas along Independence and Ralston Road to the north. This area also includes the first blocks of Independence St. up the hill. And it’s not just a plan at this point; AURA is a significant landowner in the Triangle, and it has partnered with IRG, a California company, to redevelop the Arvada Plaza.
In addition to Triangle redevelopment, Maureen will highlight other important efforts: Within the Triangle, the channelization of Ralston Creek, the replacement of the Garrison Street bridge, the Ralston Corridor project and a new Arvada “Central Park.” Then, to the west, the Arvada Ridge Gold Line Station and associated transit-oriented development (TOD).
Our Councilwoman Shelley Cook will also attend the meeting, which will be held at Arvada Presbyterian Church fellowship hall, 5592 Independence St.
COME ON DOWN TO ARVADA PRES CHURCH ON JANUARY 22 AND BE IN THE KNOW!!
