Apex to Hold Public Meetings on New Facilities

by John Kiljan

Dear CLRC members and friends,

Starting Tuesday, Apex will hold a series of three public meetings on its efforts to go to the voters to fund a multi-story regional recreation center at the Arvada Center and for three other improvement projects in the recreation district. The new eastside recreation center at 68th and Wadsworth is expected to cost $25 to $30 million to build.

The meeting dates are

Tuesday, February 5th at 6:30 pm at the Apex Field House, 5724 Oak St

Thursday, February 7th at 1:00 pm at the Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd , and

Tuesday, February 12th at 6:30 pm at the Indian Tree Golf Course, 7555 Wadsworth Blvd

The three meetings will be managed by a consulting firm and are open to the public. But the one on February 5th will be targeted to interest groups such as sports associations, governmental agencies and neighborhood associations.
